This project will fund the development of Chacewater Recreation Centre which will result in new sport and community facilities.

Upcycle Kernow CIC will refurbish the existing building, which was originally a 1941 RAF support facility, into a light-filled, eco-friendly and efficient community space.

Upgrades and enhancements to the existing gardens and reopening of the café as well as the build of a new Interpretive Centre designed to blend in with the area’s natural beauty.

Improving access for local people and visitors, creating a healthy and biodiverse habitat for wildlife, helping the woods to act as an important local carbon sink, and creation of nature-related jobs.

A project to reimagine, improve and create new spaces to ease the pressure on existing operations, while creating exciting possibilities for growth and new employment opportunities.

The project will replace the fragile canvas structure with a more robust steel framed building to extend their season and host a much wider range of arts, heritage and environmental events.
