Two Bays Trust, a charitable organisation based on the North Cornwall Coast, delivers coastal conservation and wellbeing activities for local schools, communities, and social prescribing programmes.
With their grant from the Community Capacity Fund, the Trust is developing its new Educate and Enthuse initiative designed to help young people aged 11–25 engage with ocean conservation and mental health awareness in new and accessible ways. The grant will fund digital equipment including iPads, VR headsets and projection tools, enabling the Trust to offer interactive sessions that complement its traditional outdoor activities.
The funding will also support improvements to the Trust’s Marine Centre, which serves as a flexible community space. By adding a tech‑enabled area, the Centre will be able to host immersive learning experiences that appeal to a wider range of young people, including those who may not be drawn to outdoor sessions alone.
By investing in modern engagement tools and expanding the Centre’s capabilities, this project is helping the Trust broaden participation, enhance environmental education, and strengthen its role in supporting young people’s wellbeing across the region.
