Tuesday Treg Gateway Club will use their funding to purchase a branded gazebo, helping to raise awareness of its work and create more inclusive opportunities for people with learning disabilities.
The club meets weekly at the Railway Club in St Blazey and supports over 100 attendees, including young people with learning disabilities, their parents, and carers. While interest in community events like steam rallies, fetes, and fun days is high, the lack of shelter has limited their ability to attend and engage fully.
The new gazebo will:
- Provide shelter for volunteers and members, making outdoor events more accessible.
- Create a welcoming space for conversations with the public about the club’s work.
- Support fundraising and recruitment, helping to attract new members and build community connections.
This simple but impactful addition will allow the club to be more visible and integrated in the community, while opening up a wider range of activities for its members.
