Spaceport Cornwall were granted funding from the Shared Prosperity Fund to develop a feasibility study looking into a market assessment of a new Testing, Research & Innovation Centre (TRIC) located on site.

The study was conducted from December 2022 to February 2023 and incorporates outputs from a wide range of interviews with various stakeholders including Satellite Integrators & Manufacturers, Service Providers, Academia, Government bodies (both local and national), and funders (including public and private).

A market assessment is included providing an independent analysis of the user needs and market demand for such a facility.  It presents the potential benefits including a set of possible options and recommendations.

The study further considers the potential sources of funding and investment for a facility and investigates a potential business model.

The spaceport will now use this report to help shape their planning for the next developments on site, exploring future funding and working with partners identified within the report to sustainably develop the ecosystem of space sector developments within the county.
