The official tourist board for Cornwall will use the Shared Prosperity Fund to focus on promotional campaigns that encourage visitors outside of the peak summer season, as well as a strong push towards cultural, heritage and eco-tourism activities.
They will also continue to roll out their “we care – Keryn” sustainable business development toolkit to drive sustainable tourism practices.
Malcolm Bell, Chief Executive of Visit Cornwall said: “This additional investment will help us attract new visitors to Cornwall and Isles of Scilly and improve the income potential for local residents directly employed within the sector by creating more year-round opportunities. There will also be positive knock-on effects for local supply chains and associated industries.”
