Screen Cornwall Equity Production Investment (SCEPI), is a public-private investment initiative to support the screen sector in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
The scheme is designed to unlock the region’s potential as a nationally significant screen cluster by investing in a portfolio of high-end TV and film projects produced or filmed in the region between 2025 and 2028.
It will support a maximum of 10 productions, each receiving between £50,000 and £500,000, with a focus on projects that deliver strong commercial potential and local impact. The scheme will also provide paid placements for 30 local trainees, helping them transition into the industry and build sustainable careers.
By attracting inward investment and supporting local production companies, freelancers, and service providers, the fund is expected to generate over £6.75 million in additional regional spend and significantly boost Cornwall’s creative economy. It will also enhance Cornwall’s cultural visibility on screen, support the use of the Cornish language, and contribute to screen tourism.
The scheme will ensure that public investment delivers long-term social and economic value. Sustainability is also at the heart of the fund, with all supported productions required to meet advanced environmental standards.
