Duloe Jubilee Community Centre is a vital hub for the rural community of Duloe and its surrounding areas. The centre serves as a venue for various events and hosts a wide range of community clubs and groups. Additionally, the village shop and post office are conveniently located on site, providing essential provisions that are otherwise scarce within a 5-mile radius.

The Duloe Jubilee Community Centre Charity is committed to sustainability and cost-saving measures, The committee actively seeks community input to make informed decisions that benefit both the residents and the centre. By recognizing the importance of preserving resources and maximizing revenue potential they have taken pro-active steps by securing funding from the Community Capacity Programme to conduct a comprehensive feasibility study on the energy usage, including costed supplier budgets and proposals for future funding. Their goal is to explore cost-saving actions and potentially implement solar power and energy storage to reduce their environmental impact and save on energy costs. Additionally, an Audio/Visual consultant will assess the current state of the theatre infrastructure, identifying areas for improvement in lighting, sound, and vision systems.

Once the study is completed, the committee will be better positioned to acquire additional funding for the proposed works, which will have a significant impact on the community and the centre itself. Solar panels would create a welcoming warm community space where individuals and elderly residents can connect and network, breaking free from the isolation that often comes with living in such a secluded area. The planned addition of vehicle charging points and an improved range of goods and services in the on-site shop will benefit residents. The upgraded theatre will have the potential to attract new users and generate increased usage and income for the centre, allowing for further investment and improvements to the facilities, further benefitting the community.
