This grant will fund the purchase of a set of new oars for Gerrans Bay Rowing Club. Their current oars have deteriorated and need time to dry before they can be properly repaired and re-varnished, meaning club activities would otherwise have to pause
With a second set of oars, the club can rotate equipment and carry out maintenance without suspending rowing. This will allow them to run more sessions, increase participation, and welcome more people into both competitive and social rowing, helping to strengthen community engagement and wellbeing.
