Miracle Theatre, Cornwall’s longest running and most prolific touring company, has been awarded a grant of £541,016 from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
Over the next 2 years the grant will empower Miracle Theatre to develop new ways of working for the future, create new opportunities for Cornish artists and amplify and extend their services, reaching every corner of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, all year round.
Through this project they will deliver an additional 40 performances reaching the length of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, and build closer connections with at least 15 of the communities they tour to; support 6 associate artists to develop their leadership skills over an extended 18-month period, host 4 residential artist camps in Cornwall, employ or nurture over 50 artists, engage at least 1000 people in meaningful outreach activity and create 725 volunteer opportunities.
The SPF investment is a strategic step towards securing Miracle Theatre’s future. It guarantees sustainable growth, employment opportunities, and increased access to the performing arts for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly residents.
