Harris Mill Hall fell out of use a number of years ago after a long history of serving the community. More recently a new committee has formed with the intention of restoring it and improving it as a community facility.

An initial feasibility study was completed in May 2022, RIBA stage 1-2 (project brief and concept design) which identified a number of possible development options, this was followed by a community consultation process.

This project is to undertake the necessary architectural design, drawings and specifications (RIBA stages 3 & 4) to submit planning and building control applications, that will enable the future refurbishment and necessary modifications to Harris Mill Village Hall to become a Community Hub.

The refurbishments will improve the hall’s functionality by providing flexible spaces that cater for commercial day time use and community use at other times; accessibility will be improved by adding disabled facilities and parking to the hall.
