Funding from the Community Capacity Fund will support a series of accessibility improvements at Golant Village Hall, helping the charity strengthen its long‑term sustainability and better serve the parish of St. Sampson.
The Village Hall is a key community space, hosting meetings, lectures, classes and recreational activities that enhance local wellbeing and social connection. Like many small charities, it faces rising challenges in remaining viable and relevant to the community it serves. To address this, the charity has launched a Sustainability Project focused on ensuring the Hall continues to meet local needs long into the future.
As part of this work, the funded improvements will include enhanced physical access to the building, upgraded internet provision, and the installation of hearing loops to support those with hearing impairments. These upgrades will ensure the Hall is more inclusive, more functional, and better equipped to host a wider range of community activities.
By improving accessibility and modernising key infrastructure, the project will help the Village Hall remain a welcoming, adaptable and sustainable asset for residents of St. Sampson for years to come.
