SWAMP CIRCUS is an award winning company and charity that has designed major performance arts and environmental projects in Cornwall and countries worldwide.
Their community and training arm CIRCO KERNOW is dedicated to culture and the environment and runs weekly training projects for young people in Cornish communities, supporting those in need with health and skills. The community accessed, accredited courses have run for over 20 years and provide positive work-related pathways for those out of work and education.
SPF funded project Future Vision will enhance and develop the work delivered through new community workshops in Penryn, Camborne, Redruth and Truro. They will work with external partners to attract and train new NEETS and those in danger of exclusion with community events to connect with trainees.
They will also deliver new BTEC training courses in Performing Arts, Land Based Skills and support trainees in work readiness, progression and new enterprises. These trainees, alongside volunteers, will produce community focused seasonal events celebrating food, health and the arts, as well as a new Chyan Community Forest with Forest for Cornwall.
