Experience is a project that promotes Cornwall as a year-round destination. Over the next twelve months, the project will continue working in Newquay and start a new phase in Bodmin.
In Newquay, the focus will be on equipping local stakeholders with the essential tools to take forward some of the key learnings from the project into the future. As a team, they will be developing a coherent and sustainable programme of events to drive footfall throughout the year to the town.
In Bodmin, Experience will help better promote the area to increase visitors. Whilst Bodmin is not traditionally on the Cornwall tourism circuit, it has potential to become an ‘inland’ visitor destination. A gateway to mid-Cornwall, with connections to Bodmin Moor, the Camel Trail and easy access to the north & south coasts, it also boasts major attractions as well as a number of dynamic cultural organisations.
The project will offer a tailored business training programme and aid local businesses in crafting sustainable activities and itineraries.
