Community Capacity Fund

Community Capacity Fund

Lead Organisation: Cornwall Council

Investment Priority: Community and Place

Fund: Community Capacity Fund

SPF awarded: £3,964,100 (2022 - 2026)

Location: Cornwall-wide

The Community Capacity Fund is a small grant scheme within the main Good Growth programme. It is managed by the Localism department of Cornwall Council.

It supports community organisations to develop projects or project ideas so that organisations are then in a stronger position to access wider funding opportunities. Particular emphasis is given to supporting areas of Cornwall that have little or no experience of applying for and securing funding.

Examples of work that can be funded include:

  • Feasibility studies
  • Business plans
  • Architects’ drawings
  • Concept plans
  • Professional support to determine the concept of projects
  • Community engagement programmes
  • Small capital items that result in an increase in community activity.

See the list of projects supported by the Community Capacity Fund here.
