The Beacon Fund offers flexible equity investments between £20,000 and £200,000 to tackle two common challenges faced by startups:
- Early-stage gap: When founders run out of initial funds before their business is ready for larger investment. The Beacon Fund provides the boost needed to turn potential into real market traction.
- Match funding gap: When businesses have investor interest but need extra funding to unlock co-investment and complete seed rounds.
Unlike traditional funding models, The Beacon Fund works alongside existing investors, including the Cornwall Angel Network and the wider UK investment community, to make co-investment deals happen. Businesses also receive expert support through The Founders Collective, Oxford Innovation’s accelerator programme, to get investment-ready.
