Business Support

We’re looking for specialist providers of bespoke business support services to come forward with projects for the following areas:

  • BUS001c: Good Growth Hub (£7.7m)
  • BUS002d: Research, Development and Innovation (£1.0m)
  • BUS007d: Net Zero, Resilience and Green Skills (£1.0m)

The Good Growth team will respond to you within five working days with a full application form, which will need to be returned to the Good Growth team via email (goodgrowth@cornwall.gov.uk) in advance of the application deadline. 

Please note: If you have previously sent an EOI for business support there is no need to complete the enquiry form as you will be sent the full application form directly.

Investment Priority: Supporting Local Business

The Good Growth Hub will provide a single point of contact for all business support funded via the Shared Prosperity Fund across Cornwall and Isles of Scilly. They will be responsible for the initial engagement with businesses and will refer out to more bespoke businesses support across a broad spectrum of specialisms and sectors outlined below.

Specialist providers with a strong track-record of delivering high quality business support are invited to put forward projects that would deliver part of, or all of, the below services and make them available for the Good Growth Hub.

  • Business Finance
  • Made Smarter
  • Social Enterprise
  • Skills
  • Start Up
  • Rural Business

Research, Development and Innovation 

Providers of bespoke R,D&I business support are invited to put forward projects that provide businesses with tailored advice on:

  • Intellectual property (IP)
  • Commercialisation
  • Scale up of R,D&I activity
  • Uptake of R&D tax credits
  • Access to non-SPF sources of R,D&I funding

Net Zero, Resilience and Green Skills 

We are looking for providers that support businesses to decarbonise their business models and shift to greener processes and production. This includes increasing positive impact on the natural environment, take up of circular economy methods and increased resilience to natural hazards. We would like to see this underpinned by the use of environmental, sustainability, and carbon reporting standards that;

  1. Are widely used and accepted
  2. Provide an appropriate fit for the business and
  3. Offer helpful and constructive guides for green and net zero decision making.

The support offered will be assessed on its ability to demonstrate tangible impacts in the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in Cornwall and/or a positive impact on the natural environment, alongside the flexibility to deliver for individual business’ needs.
